Shruti Seth is a video jockey and actress from India. Her comic roles in various television series and the Hindi cinema business helped her get wider notoriety when she began her career as a television show host. Seth was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and earned a bachelor's degree in economics from St. Xavier's College. She pursued a modeling career and began anchoring Channel Television series. Her career took a big turn when she was cast as Jiya Malhotra, a young witch in Star Plus's comic series Shararat (2003–06). The show's popularity expanded over time, and Seth rose to notoriety as a result of her appearance. Seth made her film debut in 2003 with Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II and went on to win awards for her supporting roles in blockbusters like Fanaa (2006) and Slumdog Millionaire (2008). (2008).
